IS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO PERFORM COLPOSCOPY IN PATIENTS WITH ASCUS AND HR HPV POSITIVITY? INTRODUCTION: Papanicolaou (Pap) smear is a very important screening method for detection of cervİcal cancer or cell changes that can lead to it. Atypical squamous cells undetermined significance (ASCUS) the most common abnormality seen among all cervical cytologies with percentage 4-5% . Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection regarded as major cause intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and cancer. Colposcopy recommended women high-grade lesion (HSIL) atypical cells-cannot exclude (ASC-H) It also high-risk (HR HPV) positive ASCUS. The aim this study evaluate importance colposcopy in patients positivity. MATERIALS METHODS: Study Population We performed retrospective approved by ethics committee Acıbadem University. Women diagnosis positivity who underwent colposcopic evaluation at 2 different gynecologic oncology clinics our university from January 2011 2019 were included study. age range was 21 48 mean patients’ 29. Subjects pregnant, hysterectomized had previous cytological abnormalities excluded. CONCLUSION: In study, we aimed positivity, especially strains 16 18. متن کاملC-arm Calibration - Is it Really Necessary?
C-arm fluoroscopy is modelled as a perspective projection, the parameters of which are estimated through a calibration procedure. It has been universally accepted that precise intra-procedural calibration is a prerequisite for accurate quantitative C-arm fluoroscopy guidance. Calibration, however, significantly adds to system complexity, which is a major impediment to clinical practice. We chal...
متن کاملDetection of HPV positivity by immunohistochemistry in colposcopic cervical biopsies with a cytological diagnosis of ASCUS.
OBJECTIVE Many epidemiological studies have shown that human papillomavirus related infections play a major role in cervical preinvasive and invasive lesions. ASCUS (atypical cells of undetermined significance) observed in about 4-5% of all cervical cytology specimens. We searched for the presence of HPV with immunohistochemical methods in the biopsy material of patients diagnosed with ASCUS us...
